Jeremy Hannich
Pastor of Youth
& Young Adult Ministries
God is good and has allowed me to work the youth at Dexter UMC since the fall of 2007 and it has been quite the trip :) He has taught me a lot over the years and I am excited to share those and many other lessons with everyone around me. I love my family, sports, the outdoors, and competing at just about anything. Before coming to Dexter UMC, I graduated from the University of Michigan and then spent a year doing mission work in the Middle East. Now I live in Dexter along with my beautiful wife Sarah, and our four boys--Timmy, Nate, Seth, and Josiah.
Here at Dexter UMC I oversee the middle school, high school, and college ministries. There are always plenty of things going on and we would love for any of you to join in along the way. God has always been faithful to me and my family and I pray that you would get to experience Him as well.

Joy Hook
Associate Youth Director
Hi everyone! I am so excited to be serving on the youth team as the associate youth director. I lived in Dexter from Kindergarten until I went to college, and I'm excited to be back! I just graduated from Liberty University in Virginia with a double major in Project Management and Entrepreneurship. I love this church and I love the youth ministry! In college I lived abroad for a year in Berlin, Germany and was an au-pair for a family. I love travel and almost every sport! I just started working with Dexter's field hockey team as the goalie coach!
Over the years I have had opportunities to work with students. I was a team leader at Service Over Self for a summer where I was first introduced to youth ministry. The following summer I was the youth intern for DUMC where God again showed me how one of my passions is working with students. I love helping people develop their relationship with God and seeing them take their next steps of faith!

Matt and I have been at Dexter UMC for 16 years and I have almost always had some involvement in the youth program and so it is natural for me to step in and help in a new way. All four of our kids have been a part of the youth program and have great memories of events, trips, and camps. I love the church and I love the youth program and I especially love the youth that are involved. I really want to see every youth make a decision to follow Christ in all areas of their lives and grow to be His disciples where they are now and wherever God leads them in the future. The Edge is a great place to be and I am excited to be a part of what God is doing here!

Hi everyone. I'm so thrilled to be a part of this amazing Youth Ministry team! Here's a little about me: I moved to Dexter in 2008 and started attending DUMC shortly thereafter. I grew up in Dearborn, got my BA in Psychology from the University of Michigan (Go Blue!), and then took off for New York City to become...a professional dancer. Makes no sense, I know. I spent the good part of 12 years traveling the globe dancing and singing. The highlight was becoming a Radio City Rockette. Now I get my kicks singing professionally alongside my husband, Dave Boutette (you may have heard him play the special music in church). So I'm all about the arts. I am also the proud mom of Kieran (a Michigan Tech grad) and Kara Young (a WCC student & worship arts fanatic). Can't wait to see all the wonderful things God has in store for our youth this year!
