MS D-Group Leaders
Every Sunday, as part of our youth group at The Edge, we break up into small discipleship groups we call "D-groups." These groups are where we get to dive deep into faith discussions & teachings. Get to know our awesome D-group leaders below.
8th Grade Girls
Hello! This is my second year at the Edge and I love working with the eighth grade girls. I have enjoyed getting to know the girls and look forward to watching them grow in their faith over the coming years. The Edge is a family affair for me. My husband, Jeff, is a D-group leader and our two daughters, Erin (senior) and Megan (8th grade) come to the Edge every week. When I am not at the Edge, I enjoy going for walks, reading mysteries, and playing card/board games. Much to my delight, I have found the eighth grade girls love card games too! During the week, I work as a speech therapist in an elementary school.
7th Grade Guys
I have been attending DUMC since 2006 with my wife, Robin, who is the choir director, and our children, Ava (class of 2022), Samuel (Class of 2024), and Emma (Class of 2026). Through the years, I've been involved in the church's children's ministries in various ways, including the Awana program, Judson Collins retreats, and, for the past several years, as a member of the Sunday School Storytelling team. As our kids transitioned into Edge activities, I've helped as a member of a Sunday night meal team. This is my first year as a D-Group leader. I am also a member of the worship choir and occasionally help in the tech booth. Outside of DUMC, I work as a Competitive Analyst at Ford Motor Company, and I am a Reservist in the US Navy, where I use my experience and skills as a former Submarine Warfare Officer. I'm looking forward to working with the 7th grade boys this year. God Bless!
