Trunk or Treat Car Decorating

For high schoolers & families who have a car & will decorate it & hand out candy at our Halloween Trunk or Treat event. High schoolers who don't have a car but want to help decorate someone else's car, please RSVP here and we will assign you to a car.  Last day to signup is Friday, October 29th.

Thank you for signing up to decorate a car and pass out candy for our 2nd Trunk or Treat at Dexter UMC. We are not sure what Halloween will look like this year, but we will be having Trunk or Treat regardless of what the community decides. I am looking forward to this event again this year – last year was a huge success.

The event runs from 3:00-4:30 on Sunday, October 31st. You must be in your spot and ready to go by 2:45 (if you remember from last year, families were ready to go right when we “opened”). You can get set up any time after the 3rdservice that Sunday (12:00). In case of rain, the event will be cancelled, so watch the weather.

I’m not sure how many children to plan for – maybe 200-250 would be a good estimate. If it seems like there are fewer you can give out more candy and if it’s looking like a lot more kids...ration the candy giving. We will have extra at the Edge if you run out.

I will be sending out information about where your car/truck/wagon will be assigned a space. Make sure you write it down somewhere so you remember your spot. Like last year, I will mark the space number on a parking space and assign each car a number. #1 will start near the North entrance (main entrance) to the church and go around to the last # by the garage.
